Description From Owner:
- Honeymoon Bay - Many years ago a young bachelor lived on this bay. Tired of the loneliness of his life, he announced that he was going back to England to get a bride.
- Mrs. March, another early settler on the lake, suggested that he bring her back to live on the bay. The young Englishman never returned, and nobody knows if he married or not, but the name Honeymoon Bay remains on the map.
- Mount Hooper - Named by Dr. Robert Brown after William Hooper, a 'pioneer and miner' in his Vancouver Island Exploration Expedition of 1864.
- With permission from G.P.V and Helen B. Akrigg 1997 British Columbia Place Names. UBC Press.
