Kinskuch River - From the Nisgha Indian word meaning 'place of transporting things in stages [in difficult passage]' that is, place of portage.
Kwinamuck Lake - From the Nisgha Indian word meaning 'place of cow parsnip.' The name refers to the use of the stems as drinking straws.
Kwinatahl River - From the Nisgha Indian word meaning 'place of strips of cedar bark.'
Tchitin River - From the Nisgha Indian word meaning 'fish weir river.'
