Conkle Lake after William H. Conkle, who settled in the Kettle Valley in the 1890s.
Crick Creek after a local landowner, James H. Crick. A very minor stream, it is noted here only because of its delightful name. Authentic western pronunciation would, of course, make it 'Crick Crick.'
Myncaster - After Thomas and William McMynn, farmers hereabouts, who came to British Columbia in 1887.
