Description From Owner:
- The first settlers chose the name of Aberdeen; however, when the Shuswap and Okanagan Railway (a subsidiary of the CPR) was built.
- The station here was named after W.C. Heaton Armstrong (1853-1917), head of the London banking house that had floated the bonds to build the railway.
- Around 1892 Armstrong visited the little settlement that had been given his name.
