  • Hendrix Lake - After John 'Slim' Hendrix (1870-1938), who lived at the foot of Canim Lake for many years and had a trapline north of it, in the area of HENDRIX CREEK.
  • Slim Hendrix was a tall, dark, gaunt man who wore a black patch over one eye. Like a number of men who dwelt in isolated parts of the province, Slim had a 'mail order' wife Mrs. Hendrix was a most pleasant person.
